Suspended Ceiling C1-1 with Adjusting Bracket
In this article we explain how to install a suspended ceiling on one level Technogips Pro C1-1 with Adjusting Bracket.
Products and tools you need:
- Premium Profile CD 60
- Adjusting Bracket
- Drywall Screw
- Crosswise-One-Side Connector
- Tape Measure
- Choke Line Marker
- Tin Snips
- Drywall Screwdriver
Here are the steps we followed:
With the help of a tape measure, pencil and choke line marker we mark the axes on which we will mount the main adjusting brackets and subsequently the Premium profiles CD 60.
We mark the first profile at a distance of maximum 300 mm from the enclosing wall and each subsequent one must be 500 mm in transverse mounting or 400 mm in longitudinal mounting of the boards.
We proceed to the installation of the Adjusting brackets to the main ceiling with a suitable fastening element according to the type of the supporting ceiling.
In case of a massive reinforced concrete slab ceiling, we recommend using only Ceiling anchor 6x40/60.
When installing the suspended structure, the use of a Nail plug or other fastener with a nylon dowel is not allowed, as this type of fasteners are not resistant to tension in case of fire.
The distance between the Adjusting brackets must be in accordance with the weight of the future gypsum plasterboard cladding.
The carrying capacity of the Adjusting Bracket is 0.4 kN or 40 kg / m2. More information on sizing and selecting a suitable hanger can be found on page 77 in the Technogips Pro Systems Catalog.
We continue with the sizing of the main Premium profiles CD 60.
The total length of the profile must be 10 mm smaller than the size of the room in order to be able to linearly expand the profile and consequently to avoid cracking of the joints between the plasterboards.
The installation of the Premium profiles CD 60 to the Adjusting Bracket takes place after precise leveling in relation to the already determined level of the suspended ceiling.
One drywall screw TEX TN 4.2x13 is used on each side of the profile to fix the Adjusting Bracket.
To stabilize the suspended structure and strengthen the non-factory joint between the plasterboards, we recommend the installation of transverse mounting Premium profiles CD 60.
They are dimensioned according to the distance between the main profiles and are mounted to them via a CD connection for one level. The cross-connections should be as many as there are non-factory edges on the plasterboards.
With this step the installation of the suspended ceiling structure on one level Technogips Pro C1-1 with Adjusting bracket is completed.
