In this article we give more information about 6 different types of Technogips Pro partition walls which fulfill the requirements for fire protection and sound insulation.

Single-layer partition walls:

• Partition wall W1-1 with Standard plasterboard Type A – for this partition wall we use one layer of Standard plasterboard Type A 12.5 mm, Premium profiles CW 50 and UW 50 with a width of 0.6 mm and Acoustic tape. With this system solution you can achieve up to 30 minutes of fire protection and up to 37 dB sound insulation.
• Partition wall W1-1 with Moisture resistant plasterboard Type H2 – This partition wall is suitable for premises with increased humidity up to 70% for short periods of time like kitchens, bathroom, laundry rooms, etc. For this partition wall we use a single layer of Moisture resistant plasterboard and the rest of the elements we used in the previous partition wall. It will provide up to 30 minutes of fire protection and sound insulation up to 37 dB.
• Partition wall W1-1 with Fire resistant plasterboard Type DF – This partition wall will provide up to 60 minutes of fire protection and up to 38 dB sound insulation. To achieve these results, you need one layer of the Fire resistant plasterboard Type DF 12.5 mm, Premium profiles CW and UW 50 0.6 mm, Acoustic tape and a layer of stone wool.

Double-layer partition walls:

• Partition wall W1-2 with Standard plasterboard Type A – For this partition wall you will need two layers of Standard plasterboard Type A, Premium profiles CW and UW 50 with a width of 0.6 mm, Acoustic tape, and a layer of stone wool. This solution will provide fire protection up to 90 minutes and 54 dB of sound insulation.
• Partition wall W1-2 with Fire resistant plasterboard type DF – We use two layers of Fire resistant plasterboard 12.5 mm and we fix it to Premium profiles CW 50 and UW 50 0.6 mm and Acoustic tape. This partition wall wii provide up to 120 minutes of fire protection and up to 49 dB of sound insulation.
• Partition wall W1-2 with Sound Comfort type DF – This partition wall will provide up to 120 minutes of fire protection and 51 dB of sound insulation. For this construction you will need two layers of Sound Comfort DF 12.5 mm, Premium profiles CW 50 and UW 50 0.6 mm and Acoustic tape.

For all Technogips Pro system solutions we recommend using drywall screws to fix the boards to the profiles, to fill the joints between boards with FUGA and reinforce the joints with glass-fibre joint tape and to finish the walls with SATEN or FUGA & FINISH Light.
